FAQ
About Reva Jewellery
Who designs Reva Jewellery?
All Reva Jewellery collections are designed by Laurent Leger, who founded the brand in Bali in 1997. Every collection begins with a single creative idea. That idea is explored throughout the collection rather than following a fixed visual style.
What makes Reva Jewellery different?
Reva is an independent contemporary jewellery brand built around original design rather than trends. Each collection explores a single idea, resulting in collections with their own identities while sharing a commitment to creativity, craftsmanship, and wearability.
Why don't all Reva collections look alike?
Because every collection begins with a different creative concept.
One collection may explore rhythm and architecture, another layered metals, and another pearls as compositional elements. The idea leads the design, which is why every collection develops its own visual identity.
I have never believed that creativity should be limited by a single signature style. I appreciate diversity, and I enjoy exploring different ideas, materials, and influences. What connects Reva's collections is not a shared aesthetic but a consistent creative process.
Is Reva a designer jewellery brand?
Yes. Reva is an independent designer-led jewellery brand. Every collection is conceived, developed, and refined by Laurent Leger, from the initial concept through to the finished piece.
Where is Reva jewellery made?
Every Reva piece is designed and handcrafted in our workshop in Bali, combining traditional jewellery-making techniques with contemporary design principles.
Can Reva jewellery be made in gold?
Many of our silver designs can also be made in gold on request while preserving the original design. We also undertake selected private commissions for clients seeking original contemporary jewellery.
Can I order a custom size or design?
Yes, we offer custom ring sizes and private commissions. Please contact us for more details.
Do your collections follow the same design style?
No. Reva was never built around a single visual style or signature look. Instead, every collection begins with one idea, which is explored as fully as possible. Different ideas naturally lead to different forms, materials, and aesthetics, while remaining part of the same creative approach.

Products & Materials
Below are answers to common questions about pricing, materials, and craftsmanship.
Are your products handmade?
Yes. Every Reva piece is handcrafted in our Bali workshop using high-quality silver and gold.
What type of silver do you use?
We use 950 (95% pure silver alloy) and/or 925 Sterling silver (92.5% pure silver alloy) for our jewellery.
Are the crystals in your jewelry natural or synthetic?
We use both high-quality Austrian crystals and natural fine gemstones such as amethyst and citrine.
Why does the weight of jewellery affect its price?
Jewellery is made from precious metals that are bought and priced by weight. Heavier jewellery contains more metal, which increases the raw material cost, especially when metal prices are high or volatile.
In handmade jewellery, shaping and finishing remove material. The heavier and more complex the design, the more metal is used and lost during production, even though it still had to be purchased.
Weight also increases financial exposure. Heavier jewellery ties up more value in material and work in progress, which affects pricing decisions over time.
Does lighter jewellery mean lower quality?
No. Quality depends on materials, craftsmanship, and construction, not weight alone.
Well-designed jewellery can be lighter while remaining durable and well made. Skilled jewellers adjust structure and thickness to reduce unnecessary weight without compromising strength or finish.
Two pieces can differ in weight while offering the same level of quality and longevity.
Why does handmade jewellery cost more than cast jewellery?
Handmade jewellery requires significantly more time and manual skill. Each piece is shaped, assembled, and finished by hand rather than produced from a mould.
This process takes longer and involves more labour and material loss. Casting allows faster production with less variation, which lowers cost.
The higher price of handmade jewellery reflects craftsmanship, time, and control over construction and finishing.
Why do jewellery prices change over time?
Jewellery prices change because metal prices fluctuate and production costs evolve over time.
Rising metal costs affect raw material, production loss, and replacement value. Labour, shipping, and operating costs can also change.
Prices are reviewed periodically to reflect current material and production realities.
