Reva Jewellery, Expertise in Handcrafted Silver Jewellery

About Reva Jewellery

Reva Jewellery is an independent contemporary jewellery brand founded by designer Laurent Leger in Bali in 1997.

Rather than following a single visual style or repeating the same aesthetic across every collection, Reva is built around a consistent design approach. Each collection begins with one idea and explores it as completely as possible. The idea might come from architecture, a material, a traditional technique, a natural form, or an observation that deserves further exploration. Once chosen, it becomes the foundation for an entire collection.

This approach explains why Reva's collections are visually diverse. Candi explores rhythm through repeated architectural forms. Mokume Gane explores the expressive possibilities of layered metals. Pearl City examines pearls as compositional elements rather than decorative accents. Each collection investigates a different question, yet they are all shaped by the same design discipline: simplification, balance, material honesty, comfort, and wearability.

For a deeper look at this creative process, read How Ideas Become Jewellery at Reva.

Ideas alone are never enough. Every collection is developed through an ongoing dialogue between concept and reality. Designs are tested against the behavior of materials, methods of construction, durability, comfort, and the experience of wearing them. The workshop is not simply where jewellery is made. It is where ideas are challenged, refined, and ultimately become objects.

Established in Bali in 2000, the workshop has also produced collections for designers and brands around the world. Decades of collaboration across different styles, materials, and manufacturing methods continue to inform the development of Reva today.

Material choice follows the needs of each collection rather than a fixed formula. Reva works primarily with 950 silver alongside selected designs in sterling silver and 18k gold vermeil. Depending on the idea being explored, collections may incorporate gemstones, pearls, crystals, carved mother-of-pearl, wood, leather, Venetian glass, and other materials chosen for their contribution to the design rather than their decorative value.

Jewellery is ultimately completed by the person who wears it. Pieces are designed not simply to be admired, but to become part of everyday life through comfort, quality, and longevity. The hope is that they remain meaningful long after the moment of purchase.

Today, Reva Jewellery continues to design and produce contemporary jewellery from Bali for clients around the world. What unites the brand is not a single look, but a shared way of thinking: each collection is an exploration of one idea, carried as far as it can go through design, craftsmanship, and the realities of making jewellery.
